The Reporter of my Heart

The Reporter of my Heart

Passage: James 3

Speaker: Michael Payne

Series: James: Faith in Motion

Category: Sunday AM

The careless toss of a cigarette can set an entire mountain on fire and ruin the lives of so many. Such is the disproportionate power and destruction of the tongue unless we bring it under the Lordship of Jesus. The character and nature of our hearts are made clear by the words of our mouth. The wisdom of man is to rationalize and dismiss the effects of our words, but the wisdom of God is to be like Isaiah and say “Woe is me, I’m a man of unclean lips” and fall at the feet of Jesus.
