Building on a Firm Foundation

main image

As we prayed about the theme for 2018, God impressed up on us the idea of building on a firm foundation. This applies both on an individual level, and on a corporate level. For each of us as individuals, we have a firm foundation in Christ, and we seek to build on that foundation towards to goal of maturity (see 1 Corinthians 3:10-11  Matthew 7:24-27Ephesians 4:11-16).

On a corporate level, as a church, rather than a new vision and a new direction, we believe that we have a great vision and that by God’s grace we have a great foundation and a lot of key elements which are now in place, and it is our desire to build upon that foundation that we have in areas such as: School of Ministry, Community Groups, local and global outreach, youth ministry and worship ministry to name a few.

2017 was a great year for us as a church, and we look forward to what God is going to do in 2018 in and through us. We invite you to join us in praying, supporting and getting involved in what God is doing at White Fields in this season!

Moving into the Vision

At White Fields, our theme in 2017 is “Forward to what lies ahead” (Philippians 3:13).

Our vision is to build and foster a passionate, engaged and spiritually healthy Christian community to influence and bless Longmont and beyond through making disciples of Jesus Christ, teaching the Word of God, and engaging in the mission of God.

Keeping those in mind, the following news falls directly into the theme of 2017 and the vision of WFCC.

This Sunday, Pastor Nick will begin a new series in the book of Hebrews: An Anchor for the Soul. Looking to Jesus, the Anchor of our soul, is the only way to become a spiritually health Christian. The book of Hebrews is all about Jesus. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. We hope you will join us for the extraordinary series.

But wait, there is one more thing to share. We have some really exciting news, but I will let Pastor Nick have the honor of sharing it with you.
