Here in this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus talks about the difference between hypocritical religion and authentic piety and devotion to God. To be a Christian is to eschew all forms of hypocritical religiousity and to pursue a real relationship with God, in which your actions are performed for an audience of one.
