Equipped Youth

Discipleship is key to spiritual growth. Our desire is to show our young people how to go deeper in their relationship with God. We have a blast sharing our lives, studying Scripture, worshiping, and playing games!

Equipped Youth meets on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 pm for fun, fellowship, and Bible study.  They also enjoy doing events together like rock climbing, ice skating, river tubing, nine-square, frisbee, biking, hiking, summer camp, and other activities.

As an Equipped Youth Group: We take the Bible and its teaching seriously.
We seek to be open and be ourselves.
We pray for each other and carry each others' burdens.
We are kind and welcoming; no one is left sitting alone.
We desire to be servants, willing to help.
We are refreshed by our fellowship, and we are then equipped to go back out into the world.

As followers of Christ: We love others, and we are humble.
We consider Jesus on the cross, and we accept His sacrifice as payment for our sins.
We read our Bibles.
We surrender to God and are willing to do what He has called us to do.
We seek to be holy and set apart for God.
Though we are sinners, we are working to be better for God, more like Christ.
We share the good news of the gospel.

We must consider the Bible first and foremost as God’s story of Himself to us.  The Bible is the God-breathed story, from Genesis to Revelation, that tells of who He is, how He loves us, how we are separated from Him through our sin, and how He has a certain and unconquerable plan to bring us back into His kingdom through the life, death, and resurrection of His son Jesus.  We should read every bit of Scripture seeking to see how it ties back to this grand story God has written for us.
