What does Christian maturity really look like?

This week's Sermon Extra, Pastors Nick and Stephen discuss what it means to grow in Christ and why Christian maturity is more than simply knowing more Bible or checking the right boxes.

They explore how maturity involves knowing God, becoming more like Jesus in character and action, walking in obedience, and living out the mission God has given us. They also discuss the difference between spiritual maturity and legalism, including the warning signs that our discipline can become an attempt to manipulate God rather than a response to His grace.

The conversation then turns to Paul’s physical infirmity and the possibility that his weakness was connected to his ministry in Galatia and his “thorn in the flesh.” Why would God allow Paul to experience something he repeatedly asked Him to remove? And what can Paul’s response teach us about trusting God when we don't understand what He is doing?
